Use the postcode where care is needed
When you are looking for care for someone else, your own location may be different from theirs. Start with the postcode of the home where support is needed. It helps you find the relevant local information and allows a provider to check whether a proposed arrangement is available.
Our locations directory brings together area pages with care enquiry information and links to local council resources. Each page is a starting point for a conversation, not confirmation that a particular service or start date is available.
Find the right area guide
For south London enquiries, explore Croydon, Sutton, Bromley, Mitcham or Kingston upon Thames.
Further guides cover Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, South Cumbria, Milton Keynes, Somerset, Yeovil and Hull.
Place names and council boundaries do not always match. Check the address against the council's own information, particularly when a town and the surrounding county have different councils. Use the local resource links in your area guide to begin.
Separate local information from a provider enquiry
A council's adult social care pages can explain its assessment process and how to request information. A provider enquiry asks about the practical care arrangement a particular organisation may be able to offer. These are different conversations.
Contact the relevant council directly for its current assessment and funding information. Perfect Quality Care's area pages do not establish eligibility, council funding, a council contract or a branch office in that location. Ask about any process or requirement that is unclear before making plans.
Check the next step with the provider
Once you have the postcode and a rough idea of the support needed, ask about suitability, availability, timing and charges. Tell the provider if other people are involved in planning care and how the person receiving support would like to take part.
Our care enquiry checklist helps you prepare. You can then draft your enquiry or call 020 8407 0641. Availability depends on the postcode, assessed needs and staffing, so please check before relying on a proposed start date.
